Kayla Deaton

Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from Western Carolina University. During her time at WCU, she developed a deep appreciation for the Western North Carolina region and started her professional journey as a Sales Manager for Weddings and Events at Old Edwards Inn. After three years, she transitioned to the role of Director of Communications at Burlingame Country Club. Kayla’s passion for community engagement and her desire to make a difference led her to the Boys and Girls Club, where she brings a robust background in facilitating events that bring people together, effective communication strategies, leadership, and the creation of engaging marketing materials. In her leisure time, Kayla enjoys gardening, hiking, paddle boarding, and attending live music events.
